Frequently Asked Questions

DO YOU OFFER ONLINE THERAPY?

Yes, I do! I offer video sessions but, if and only if, a client is suited for this mode of therapy.

How much does therapy cost?

Fees are discussed privately with each client in order to create a treatment plan that is suited to your individual (or family) needs.

My fees include in-between session communication and collaboration with other health care practitioners such as psychiatrists, nutritionists, physicians, schools, and treatment programs.

Payments can be made by cash, check, or Zelle/Paypal.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

Currently, I accept CIGNA insurance. If you have Anthem, Aetna, Blue Shield and Kaiser we can provide superbills for reimbursement. I am happy to help you navigate that process.

How often are sessions? How long are sessions?

In the beginning, we typically have sessions 1x a week. My goal is not to keep you with me forever! I’d like to slowly reduce the number of sessions until we reach a point where you feel that you don’t need me at all.

Sessions are 50 minutes or 80 minutes sessions. This is dependent upon the needs of the client. For example, at times, a couple will need a longer session time to discuss a current issue in their relationship or an individual who has recently been hospitalized may need extra time to process a traumatic event. If an 80 minute session is necessary, it will be discussed when we are scheduling the appointment.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Unfortunately, I can’t give you a straight answer on this one. How long a person is in therapy is entirely dependent on them and the issues they are trying to work through. What I will tell you though, is that with the right attitude and effort, the results of therapy are worth while.
